Rodrigo Amado, a seasoned saxophonist, is at the forefront of free jazz and improvisation in Portugal. Alongside him, bassist Hernâni Faustino is also a central figure and pillar of the Portuguese scene. João Valinho, an unavoidable figure in the new generation, completes the trio. Together, they unfold in different formations, such as the Refraction Quartet, which also has João Almeida on trumpet, and the band that accompanies the spoken word of Brazilian Rodrigo Brandão.
