The questioning about theater as we know it, which began in Brazil with the arrival of caravels and Christianity, and which manifestations already existing in its territory contained such theatricality, is the starting point of this workshop coordinated by Juão Nyn. In the experience, participants will have contact with the Toré, the Toantes, the Mbora’is, and several other manifestations made in circles, which mix singing, rite, and representation, to get to know a little about how Indigenous people use theater as a tool to maintain the own cultures.
