From the works “Ruth Escobar: Metade é Verdade,” by Álvaro Machado, and “Sérgio Mamberti: Senhor do Meu Tempo,” co-authored by Dirceu Alves Jr., the meeting followed by an autograph session presents the biographer’s trajectory, recognized both for their intense work in the arts, production, and cultural management and for being aware and jealous of their political role in different moments of national life.

ALVARO MACHADO (BRA)

journalist, editor, and author of several books. At Editora Cosac Naify, he organized and edited, from 2002 to 2014, 17 titles in the areas of cinema, photography, and fashion. He was a reporter, assistant editor and art critic for the sections Ilustrada (Folha de S.Paulo) and Caderno 2 (O Estado de S. Paulo), and film and theater critic for the magazines Bravo! and CartaCapital. He recently completed a doctorate in performing arts at ECA-USP.

DIRCEU ALVES JR. (BRA)

graduated in journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-RS). He worked at the newspaper Zero Hora as a researcher, reporter, and assistant editor for Segundo Caderno. He was a reporter and assistant editor for IstoÉ Gente magazine for five years and a reporter and theater critic for Veja São Paulo magazine for 13 years. Author of the book “Telenovelas” (2004) and the biography “Elias Andreato: A Máscara do Improvável” (2019).

TOMMY DELLA PIETRA

assistant to the Cultural Action Management of Sesc SP. He has participated in several cultural projects, mainly in the area of Theater, acting as director, playwright, videomaker and producer. He has been a member of the Teat(r)o Oficina Uzyna Uzona Association for 15 years. He has a degree in Literature from the Faculty of Philosophy, Literature and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo – USP.
